CRM Accessibility issues in Frankfurt region

Issue: Customers across Europe-Frankfurt region faced CRM accessibility issues, which rendered Vtiger CRM unusable between Thursday, 6 December 2018 00:57:10 UTC and 06:27:00 UTC

Cause: While performing a scheduled task during non-peak hours that needed changes in the Europe-Frankfurt region service firewall, Due to human error one of the firewall rule was deleted from the system, which was responsible for HTTPS traffic flow on 443 port.

Resolution: As soon as it was known in the investigation that issue occurred because of the firewall restriction, the configuration was changed immediately to allow normal traffic to flow across servers and login is working again as expected. Corrective and Preventive Measures: Because of this issue we will be reviewing our process checklists and maintaining a reviewer for any critical changes in the infrastructure.

Maintenance - Software Update 7.18.12.1

New Features:

  1. Employee Portal
  2. Enable self-service for your employees to create and track Internal Tickets using employee portal.

Enhancements:

  1. Vtiger-Magento extension is now compliant with Magento 2.0 and above.
  2. Currency fields mapping is now available in Vtiger-Zapier integration.
  3. In Customer Portal settings, admin can now configure the portal to allow customers to edit their personal and organizational information.
  4. You can now send an SMS from a closed Contact record.
  5. Admin can allow users to have a maximum of 4 active sessions concurrently.
  6. Custom fields of type ‘User’ in a module are unavailable to map to Customer Portal.
  7. When a customer submits a webform and doesn’t enable the Email opt-in checkbox, the opt-in field value in the CRM is set to NONE.
  8. You can now create/update folders of the Document module using Webservices API.

Usability:

  1. Support App is renamed as HelpDesk App.
  2. Assign the related records to the same user as of the parent record via Workflow-Update action.
  3. In the Email Compose window, the Appointment link, Survey link, and Document link are available under the ‘Insert Links’ drop-drop menu.
