Vtiger CRM service non-functional in Mumbai Region

Update

Root Cause and Resolution

At 5:18 AM GMT, during a minor maintenance update, meant to improve run time security, a human error resulted in wrong configuration setting which prevented user operations. This issue was detected immediately and the configuration was corrected to resolve the issue within 29 minutes.

Corrective and Preventive Measures

We are taking the following steps to prevent recurrence.

  1. Reviewing deployment process to ensure such issue is caught during internal testing.
  2. Auditing other critical configuration scripts.
  3. Adding additional input validation checks in scripts.

Maintenance - Software update 7.18.4.1

In this release we have resolved a large number of bugs.


New Features:
  1. Send messages using a new SMS Provider - ZoomConnect.

Enhancements:

  1. Sync Inventory Asset Account, Sales Account, and Purchase Account of a product or a service from Xero to Vtiger.
  2. Deny non-admin users from assigning records to groups using Vtiger Roles.
  3. When no SLA is chosen for a case, the SLA Time Remaining metric displays No SLA selected.
  4. Webservices - Describe API now displays the length of a field
  5. Email notifications show more meaningful preview text in Email clients.

Usability:

  1. Added a hyperlink to open related Email Campaigns of a contact or an organization in a new tab.
  2. All Open Cases and My Open Cases list filters are renamed to All Outstanding Cases and My Outstanding Cases respectively.
  3. Twelve more fonts added to the Print Templates.
Impact: None, Service will be available during this update, without any disruption.
