Issue details:
On 6th Jan 2021, the Vtiger.com was subject to distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks at 10:49:00 AM UTC which continued for almost 24 hrs. These attacks delayed or prevented requests going to and from the vtiger.com, causing direct disruption to our website users. Following these incidents, we have been working around the clock to gather the facts and post mortem the incident.
During this attack backup login site “https:/login.vtiger.com” and alternate website was used by customers and team.
To address the issue we implemented DDOS mitigation techniques like rate limiting, limiting the no. of connections, and IP blacklisting to mitigate the risk and to regain the control.
Following this incident we took lessons to address all the associated risks to prevent future disruptions such as (conduct timely drills, introduce better monitoring at layer7,...)

Service to vtiger.com home page has been restored at 9 PM GMT on Jan 6th.
Users can login to the CRM from the home page and via the alternative URL provided earlier - https://login.vtiger.com alternate
Users can signup to the CRM using the alternative link
Our team is continuing to work on this incident and will post an update at 1 PM GMT on Jan 7th.
