Identified :
Incident Start: October 20, 2025 – 7:10 AM UTC
Last Updated: October 20, 2025 – 10:10 AM UTC
Impact:
Some users experienced delays in receiving two-factor authentication (2FA) codes and password reset emails between approximately 7:10 AM and 10:00 AM UTC. This was due to an AWS SES issue in the US-EAST-1 region causing increased error rates and latency for outbound transactional emails.
Current Status:
AWS has reported that services have largely recovered, and email delivery operations have returned to normal. We continue to monitor the system to ensure full resolution.
Next Steps:
We are continuing to monitor our email delivery queues for any residual delays.
Users who still experience delays are advised to retry or request new 2FA or reset emails.
Root Cause:
The issue was related to AWS SES and DynamoDB disruptions in the US-EAST-1 region, which impacted message delivery and authentication services..
